Conservative rocker Kid Rock called “The View” co-host Joy Behar a “b****,” and thing did not end well for him. Kid Rock was supposed to be the Grand Marshall at the Nashville Christmas Parade, but his Behar comments “killed” that opportunity.
Chicksonright.com reported, “Rock was explaining to Steve Doocy that he was for President Donald Trump and against political correctness but that we should love everybody. Except then he joked about Behar.”
“God forbid you say something a little bit wrong — you’re racist, homophobic, Islamophobic,” Rock said. “People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct, and I would say love everybody – except, I’d say screw that Joy Behar b****.”
Doocy and his co-anchors repeatedly apologized for the rocker’s language. But that wasn’t the end of the fallout for Rock. The city of Nashville decided to strip him of his grand marshal duties for the Christmas parade on Saturday. Rock’s replacement is James Shaw Jr., the Nashville hero who subdued a gunman at a local Waffle House in April.
Kid Rock will attend the parade, and even offered an apology for cursing on air.
Lewis said his client, Smith, has given $250,000 a year annually to the city for the parade for the last two years, since Piedmont pulled out as majority sponsor. “It’s like stockholders in a corporation,” Lewis said. “Mr. Smith owns 95 percent of the stock. The other 5 percent of the people who hold stock held a closed-meeting excluding Mr. Smith and made a unilateral decision to exclude Kid Rock from the parade. It is our belief that, as the major contributor, Mr. Smith has the right to name the grand marshal of the parade.”
Kid Rock may have apologized, but he stays true to his comment. “Behar has been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump and when Myself, Sarah Palin and Ted Nugent visited The White House last year, Behar called it ‘the saddest day in in the history of the White House since the British burned it to the ground in 1814.’ I will not for my sentiment nor do I expect an apology from her or anyone else who has choice words for me or doesn’t like me. God Bless America,” he said.
Chicksonright.com reported, “Joy Behar actually invited him to come on the show to hash out their differences on T.V., even saying he could come on on Monday. Behar has said much more offensive things over her time on the view including referring to Christians like Vice President Mike Pence as ‘mentally ill’ for which she subsequently apologized. While he was not the grand marshall, Rock did, in fact, show up at the parade. And he put it all in perspective, focusing on what he said was the most important thing, the benefit for the children’s hospital.”
