First Lady Melania Trump did something great for the Bush family, and liberals used it to trash her and President Donald Trump.
Right after the death of late President George H.W. Bush, the grieving family arrived in D.C. for the service.
A day before the funeral, our brilliant First Lady decided to invite former President George W. Bush and his wife, former First Lady Laura Bush. The family enjoyed a tour of the White House, and they were amazed to see the Christmas Decorations. They even had a pic taken in front of the 41st President’s portrait.
Laura took to Instagram to share the photo, and thanked our First Lady for her warm reception.
“A sweet visit during this somber week. Thanks to Mrs. Trump for inviting our family to the White House to see the Christmas decorations and our old friends, the residence staff,” the former first lady wrote.
President Trump took to Twitter to send his condolences and thank the family for coming over to the White House.
“Looking forward to being with the wonderful Bush family at Blair House today. The former First Lady will be coming over to the White House this morning to be given a tour of the Christmas decorations by Melania. The elegance & precision of the last two days have been remarkable!” he tweeted.
The Bush family was recovering from the family tragedy, and this visit was something they needed to ease their minds.
ILoveMyFreedom.org reported on the visit:
“Former presidential candidate Jeb Bush also praised the Trump family for how gracious they were after the tragic death of his father.
Bush said Trump called him after his father passed away last weekend and said he “couldn’t have been nicer.”
Of course, the mainstream media has hardly covered this story and the act of kindness.
Instead, many in the media have exploited Bush’s death and funeral to levy a barrage of attacks against Trump.
Earlier this week, MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell attacked President Trump for how he held his arms during the state funeral for the late president.
‘Watching that service, the president sitting with his arms like this,’ Mitchell complained while mocking Trump by crossing her arms and frowning.
MSNBC anchor Lawrence O’Donnell used the funeral to disgustingly claim that no one will speak kindly about President Trump at his own funeral.
‘When Donald Trump’s time comes and he is being remembered by people gathered in a cathedral, no one — not one person — will step up to a microphone and say he never hated anyone,’ O’Donnell grossly predicted.
‘No one will step up and say he was the most decent and honorable person [they] ever met,’ he continued. ‘No one will say he was one of nature’s nobleman. No one will say that.'”
